An added advantage of cruising is that you visit many different places and only have to unpack once. On board the Dialysis machines are a permanent part of the ships infirmary and dialysis treatments are available for destinations all over the world. Experienced Doctors and nurses take care of patients from the beginning to the end of the cruise. The machines are Fresenius 4008B, have volumetric control, sodium modelling and are able to handle individual dialysis prescription. Dialysers of course are never reused onboard the ship. The EHIC card is accepted as part payment for the dialysis treatment, there is an additional supplement of 110 euros per session which is payable by the patient. The ships have an emergency power supply
